No tech skills needed — up and running in 5 minutes
Your assistant lives inside Slack, and you give it work just by typing. This page walks you through opening it, connecting your tools, and getting started — it's all just a few button clicks.
Slack is a work-chat app (like a group chat, on your phone or computer). Your assistant lives inside it, and it's named Agent.
- Don't have Slack yet? Download it from the official Slack download page (phone and desktop). If your company already uses Slack, just log in.
- Open Slack and sign in to your workspace.
- Find Agent under the Agents & apps section in the sidebar and click it.
- That conversation is where you'll hand off everything from now on.
No commands to learn, no keywords to memorize. Whatever you need, just type it in plain language and the assistant does it and reports back. (It understands English, Chinese, and Japanese.)
Here's the kind of thing you can say:
- "Sort out my inbox"
- "Reply to this one for me"
- "Anything I need to reply to today?"
SCHEDULE
- "What meetings do I have today?"
- "Set up a meeting Tuesday afternoon"
- "Create a meeting note"
DOCUMENTS
- "What did we agree last time?"
- "Find that contract"
- "Sum it up in one page"
SALES
- "How were yesterday's sales?"
- "How many orders this week?"
- "What's selling best?"
To read your email, manage your calendar, and check sales, the assistant needs access to your Gmail / Google Calendar and Square. It's simple: click a button → log in → approve. Set it up once and you're done.
- When you ask it to handle email or scheduling, it gives you a green button — click it.
- A Google sign-in screen pops up → pick your account.
- The most important step: when the permission list appears, tick every box (or just hit "Select all"), then click "Continue." These boxes are unchecked by default — every box you skip is a feature the assistant loses.
- When you see "Google connected," you're done.
- When you ask about sales or orders, it gives you a "Connect Square" green button — click it.
- Log in with your Square account → see the permission list → click "Allow."
- When you see "Square connected," you're done.
