5 Stars, No Comment — Should You Reply?

When to use this

When someone left five stars and no text. Reply, but keep it short — there's no information to respond to, so a long reply reads as forced.

The most common mistake

Writing as much as you would for a detailed review. They tapped five stars; three paragraphs of gratitude back feels off. Two sentences: thanks, hope to see you again. Sincerity matters more than length here.

When the situation is different

If you get a lot of these, vary the wording. Your review page is public, and ten identical replies in a row is obviously copy-paste.

After you reply

A star-only five is a good signal with no information. If you want to know what worked, ask them in person next time — that gets you far more than asking under the review.
