How to Ask Customers for a Review (Template That Actually Gets Replies)
When to send this
Right after they got the value — not at month-end. Just after the meal, a few days into using the product, right after you solved their problem: these moments get far higher response rates than a randomly timed send.

Variant: when the situation is different
The single biggest lever is lowering the effort: include the direct review link and say "two sentences is plenty." Most people who don't leave reviews aren't unwilling — they think it's a chore and they can't find where to go. Remove those two frictions and response rates usually jump.
After you send it
If they reply with a private complaint instead of a public review, that's a good outcome. You got a chance to fix something and it didn't become a public one-star. Treat that reply as work to do, not as a review you failed to get.
